A former Christ Hospital employee was convicted and sentenced Monday morning for pandering child pornography.
Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Wende Cross sentenced 32-year-old Benjamin Naylor to seven to nine-and-a-half years in prison after he pleaded guilty to eight counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and one count of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in a state of nudity.
The fat pedophile was arrested in December following an investigation. He was even confronted by Predator Poachers outside of Christ Hospital when he still worked there as a scheduler.
According to a criminal complaint, a Regional Electronics and Computer Investigations detective wrote in a statement that the homosexual/pedophile was in possession of a pornographic image of a boy and had photos and videos of child sex abuse material on his cell phone, which he intended to distribute.
Prosecutors say the material involved children ages 8 and 4 years old and a 2 to 3-month-old infant.
“When asked what he wanted to see, defendant said children being molested,” prosecutor Elyse Deters said. “When asked what age group, he specified toddlers. When discussing his ideal fantasy, he described meeting another offender and that offender’s son for sex.”
Cincinnati Police Detective Mary Braun was brought into the courtroom to speak on what she and her team saw on the faggot’s phone.
“I’ve been doing this kind of investigations for a long time, and I will say that the images that Mr. Naylor had were some of the absolute worst I’ve ever seen, and the chats were alarming,” Detective Braun said. “I’ve never seen chats like that. I would defer to you, of course, for sentencing, but I just wanted you to know that it was some of the most disturbing content that my unit has come across.”
Before the sentencing, defense attorney John O’Shea went over Naylor’s medical history in hopes for a more lenient sentence.
It started when he was an infant.
“He was born with genetic conditions for which portions of his skull were removed when he was five months old. It was a congenital skull problem,” O’Shea told the court. “I think the surgery or maybe the genetic skull problem caused visual impairment. He does not drive because of that. He is not blind, judge, but he’s legally blind. And that surgery caused him to suffer a traumatic brain injury.”
The injury caused the pedophile’s speech to be delayed and he was later diagnosed with autism and an intellectual disability, O’Shea explained. He has also received services from Hamilton County Department of Developmental Disabilities since he was 3 years old.
O’Shea mentioned his client “gets through life” with the help of his mom and stepfather, and has never had a significant other.
“He was actually duped online by someone posing as his, quote, ‘girlfriend,’ and he gave this person $14,000, which was all the money he had saved at that point,” O’Shea said.
“The material that he had is horrible. There’s no– we don’t dispute that, okay? We operate from the premise that the material is horrible,” he said. “I really believe, judge, it was an epiphany for him because I think at the time he was thinking to himself, ‘Well, I had nothing to do with this content being produced, so even though I know it’s wrong […]’ he kind of had the feeling that since he hadn’t done anything to cause this to be produced from his perspective.”
Prosecutor Deters disagreed that Naylor had an epiphany or felt remorse, and said he knew what he was doing was wrong.
In addition to serving at least seven years in prison, Naylor will have to undergo treatment and register as a tier two sex offender.
“It (Naylor’s diagnosis) does not excuse this conduct, and it does not diminish the harm to the children depicted in this material,” Judge Cross said. “You are before this court as an adult who made choices over a sustained period of time and across nine counts, and you are accountable for those choices.”
After he serves his time, Naylor will also serve five years of post-release control.
