A white social media influencer is facing multiple child sex crime charges, according to authorities.
On Sept. 10, Carson Dean Barry, 23, was arrested and charged with five counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and criminal solicitation of a minor.
The pedophile has more than 423,000 followers on TikTok and almost 150,000 on Instagram. According to Barry’s social media bios, he is based in the Charleston, South Carolina, area.
The South Carolina attorney general alleged in a news release that Barry solicited a minor for sex and had files containing child sexual abuse material.
An investigation began after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Police also seized a computer tower and two iPhones from the pervert’s home.
Authorities also found a 12-second video on one of the phones that showed a toddler being sexually assaulted by a man.
Charleston County jail records showed the pedophile’s total bond was set at $1 million. He was released minutes after midnight on Sept. 13.
Mount Pleasant is just across the water from Charleston near the South Carolina coast.
