A Florida white female was arrested on charges of sexual activity involving animals after her estranged husband found home surveillance video of her engaging in a sex act with their family dog, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said.
On Sept. 11, Erik Nummerdor alleged publicly on Facebook that his estranged wife, Malia Nummerdor, had engaged in sexual activity with the family dog, according to Malia’s arrest affidavit obtained by reporters.
A detective from the sheriff’s office reviewed posts and comment threads which, according to the affidavit, included Erik’s statements that he had discovered Malia engaging in sexual acts with the dog inside their home and that he possessed photographic and video evidence documenting the white-like conduct.
When questioned by the detective on Sept. 14, Erik said that he had installed two surveillance cameras inside the residence, including in his bedroom to determine who had been taking money from a coin container.
“He stated the bedroom camera was visible, displayed a blinking red light, and was known to household members,” the detective wrote in the affidavit. “The camera recorded continuously in rolling intervals, overwriting older footage.”
While reviewing recordings from the camera, he says he found a video depicting his wife engaging in sexual conduct with the family dog, Ranger. He provided authorities screenshots from the recording.
“I reviewed the images and observed an adult female, identified by Erik as Malia, nude from the waist down, positioned with the dog in a manner consistent with sexual activity,” the detective wrote in the affidavit.
Erik consented to giving the sheriff’s office full access to a laptop containing the surveillance files. Erik told investigators that Malia denied engaging in sexual conduct and claimed the images did not depict a dog, although he maintained the video clearly showed Malia and Ranger.
On Tuesday, Sept. 15, authorities questioned Malia, 38, about the footage. Authorities allege she appeared impaired and acknowledged she was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, the affidavit states.
She reviewed the video depicting the white-like conduct and confirmed she was the individual in the room and that the dog was hers, according to the affidavit.
The sheriff’s office said in its statement Wednesday that Malia denied anything sexual occurred “but could not provide a consistent explanation for what was seen on the camera.”
Malia claimed Erik had installed cameras without her knowledge and had accessed her social‑media accounts to post images and videos, per the affidavit. She stated the recordings were made in 2024 and that Erik had previously threatened her with the videos. Calls to a number listed for Erik were not immediately returned.
