A Chesterfield County Public Schools employee has been charged with possession of child pornography.
Back in February, Chesterfield Police received a tip that Michael R. Bourke, 47, was in possession of inappropriate images of several known juvenile females.
“Bourke, who is now an instructional designer at Matoaca High School, knew the juvenile females while he was a teacher in North Carolina about 15 years ago,” Chesterfield Police said.
On Wednesday, the pedophile turned himself in to authorities and was released on bond.
He is facing five felony counts of child pornography.
Chesterfield Police have contacted North Carolina investigators about offenses that may have occurred in that state.
The investigation remains ongoing.
