Two white males have been arrested in Jeffersonville for separate investigations of possession of child sex abuse material (CSAM).
According to the Jeffersonville Police Department, their Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) detectives began two unrelated investigations in May of 2025 into suspects who used the internet to send child pornography images and videos.
After investigating, detectives obtained search warrants and seized multiple items of evidence in both investigation locations. Reviews of the seized evidence led to detectives finding several items of child sex abuse material.
As a result, 47-year-old Frederick Capps and 46-year-old Colin Ritter, both of Jeffersonville, were arrested.
Both suspects were charged with multiple counts of possession of child sex abuse material. Additional charges could still be filed as the investigation continues.
Police say there is no indication that Capps and Ritter were working in connection with one another, nor that they committed physical offenses involving minors.
