A former New Whiteland white male was arrested and charged with incest after police received a report of incest resulting in a baby.
The Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office has filed one charge of Incest, a Level 5 felony, against Isaac Leon Cole, 39, after a relative with knowledge of the incest reported it to New Whiteland police.
The white pedophile was arrested without incident by New Whiteland Police on Thursday when officers learned that he was at a house in Bartholomew County, according to a news release from the Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office.
The crime was first reported in August 2025, and the charge was filed on Wednesday after the results of a DNA test of the baby’s paternity became available. The case was originally filed under seal, but it was unsealed by the court, online court records show.
Police were able to obtain search warrants for DNA testing on Cole, the mother, and the infant and the DNA test results confirmed Cole as the father. New Whiteland Police also interviewed two sources who said that Cole was the father of the infant, according to a probable cause affidavit filed with Johnson Superior Court 3.
Cole became estranged from his children and reconnected with them a few years ago. The children moved in with him and other relatives for a time before they moved to Indianapolis together, the affidavit says.
He reportedly slept in the same bed as the daughter who gave birth to the child, and a witness reported the girl also had hickeys, the affidavit says.
The girl found out she was pregnant during the time they lived in Indianapolis, the affidavit says.
The affidavit doesn’t say how old the girl is or when the baby was born.
Police tried to collect DNA swabs from Cole and the girl at their residence, but they were denied entry. Police came back with a warrant and collected the swab from Cole at his workplace at the time, which was the Greenwood Rural King, the affidavit says.
The DNA swab for Cole came back on Nov. 5, and officials from the Indiana State Police lab informed New Whiteland officers they would need a swab from the girl as well. They collected the swab from her at Franciscan Hospital in Indianapolis on Nov. 7, the affidavit says.
The swab of Cole had the following results: “The genetic results are 120,000 times more likely if Isaac Cole is the father,” the affidavit says.
The swab of the girl showed even stronger proof of paternity. The swab indicated both that the girl is the mother of the child and “The genetic results are 620 billion times more likely if Isaac Cole is the father than if an unknown, unrelated man is the father,” the affidavit says.
A no contact order has been issued for the victim, and an initial hearing is set for Monday afternoon.
