A former Indianapolis Metropolitan police officer charged in a child molestation case has agreed to a plea deal.
According to court records, David McDaniel filed the plea agreement this week in Hancock Circuit Court.
The pedophile cop faced two Level 1 felony counts of child molesting and a Level 4 felony count of attempted child molesting. Under the terms of the plea deal, he plans to plead guilty to the Level 4 felony as well as an additional count of child molesting as a Level 4 felony.
The Level 1 felony counts would be dismissed under the terms of the deal. The child molester would pay restitution to two victims for mental health expenses as well as court costs and a $5,000 fine.
Had the white brute pleaded guilty to the Level 1 counts or been convicted during a trial, he would have faced decades in prison. However, the sentencing range for a Level 4 felony is between 2 and 12 years. The advisory sentence is 6 years, according to the plea agreement.
The diabolical white pervert could serve the sentences consecutively or concurrently. He would be under a no-contact order with the victims for the duration of his sentence.
A judge will ultimately decide whether to accept the plea agreement.
According to previous reports, the victims came forward with the allegations in July 2025. They alleged McDaniel touched them inappropriately while they were sleeping.
The assaults began around 2016, when the victims were around 9 years old. McDaniel retired from IMPD in 2024.
The victims’ parents said McDaniel urged them via text messages not to come forward in order to save him and his family from public embarrassment. Indiana State Police investigated the case and arrested McDaniel in July 2025.
McDaniel’s plea deal was taken under advisement on Tuesday. A sentencing date was scheduled for Nov. 24.
