A Hendersonville white male has been convicted by a jury for repeatedly sexually abusing children over more than a decade in Tennessee and Texas.

Matthew Cody Ball, 36, was found guilty on March 12 in Sumner County Circuit Court of continuous sexual abuse of a child, nine counts of child rape, one count of rape, two counts of aggravated sexual battery, and one count of statutory rape by an authority figure.

The jury deliberated for just 20 minutes following a four-day trial.

The white pedophile was arrested on May 1, 2024, after a 10-year-old girl reported inappropriate contact by the child molester to her mother.

During a forensic interview at Ashley’s Place, the child detailed repeated sexual abuse dating back to around age 5.

After Ball’s arrest, three additional victims came forward, reporting sexual abuse that occurred in Davidson, Dickson, and Sumner counties, as well as in Texas.

The white monster was charged for crimes against all victims under Tennessee’s Child Protection Act, which allows prosecution of offenses committed outside the county.

Circuit Court Judge Jennifer Nichols revoked Ball’s bond immediately after the verdict and scheduled sentencing for April 14, 2026. He faces a potential sentence of 492 years without the possibility of probation, parole, or early release.

District Attorney General Thomas Dean praised the victims’ courage and the work of law enforcement and prosecutors in securing justice.
